Last week I had the opportunity to visit with Senator Anthony Cannella in Salinas at a health care town hall at his office hosted with Covered California. Our state faces some serious issues when it comes to health care, immigration and unemployment. Senator Cannella has been a leader in trying to tackle all of these issues. what impressed me most about the Senator is his clear willingness to work with both sides of the aisle in Sacramento. District 12 has a large Hispanic voter registration and its voter demographics are very similar to that of District 10... my district which shares a large number of Asian-Americans as well. Both districts are great reflections of the diversity that is California, meaning we have to tackle our issues in creative ways. Californians deserve their elected leaders working together to solve the problems of our state. As I progress through my campaign, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet with other legislatures on how we can work together to make for a more "Golden" state!
